We kindly invite all young people ages up to 19 to participate in the photo competition of the Foto festival Maribor and the project »Lessons from 1991: the rise of nationalism through the eyes of photo reporters«.
The theme of the competition is Borders. We are interested in how young Europeans, who have grown up with the disappearance of national borders, perceive borders and how they understand the current new rise of borders and fences in Europe. Young photographers can approach the topic from different perspectives and explore the many different kinds of borders they perceive around them. Photographs can be taken with photo cameras, smart phones, tablets…
All selected photographs will be exhibited during the Photo festival Maribor, as part of the photo projection in the quarry Pruh, a cultural space only a couple of meters from the border between Slovenia and Austria.
The winner will be selected by a jury and will receive a photo camera Nikon d330 with a 18-55 lens.
Please send the photographs to firstname.lastname@example.org and enclose the following information:
– name and surname
